Type 2 Diabetes is a chronic disease which involves build up of glucose levels in the bloodstream. Typically, insulin, a hormone created by cells in the pancreas, moves glucose from the blood to the cells to produce energy, But in patients with type 2 diabetes, the cells fail to respond to insulin as they should.
Poorly managed type 2 diabetes can lead to potentially serious complications.
